ic Cancer is a devastating disease that cuts short the lives of over 50,000 Americans each year. Finding treatments for the disease has proved challenging, and more research is so very important.This year, the Lustgarten Foundation raised a total of $707.2k. Makofsky Valente Law Group raised $12,234, and our team ranked #12 out of 170 teams!Partner Lisa Valente was the top individual fundraiser in our team, coming in at #10 of all individuals! Valente, who raised a total of $7,322, had personal reasons to walk. She did so in memory of 
her father, Silvestre Ramalhete, who sadly passed away from the disease earlier this year.“We had a beautiful day and walk,” said Valente. “It was bittersweet for me, but nevertheless a wonderful turnout, and a great cause. We are walking towards a cure, and we won’t stop until we get there.”
