Makofsky Valente Law Group is thrilled to announce that attorney Deidre Baker has been chosen as one of the 2023 Irish Echo 40 Under 40 honorees! The award celebrates Irish and Irish Americans who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields of work before reaching the age of 40. The 40 Under 40 award spotlights up-and-coming leaders of Irish America from around the nation who work in a variety of fields and occupations.
The annual award, now in its 16th year, is sponsored by The Irish Echo — the oldest Irish American newspaper in the country. Nominees are assessed across five themes: innovation, community, achievement, passing on the flame (keeping Irish history and heritage alive), and networking and partnering. The awards ceremony took place on February 24th in New York City.
In addition to her work as an Elder Law attorney with Makofsky Valente Law Group, Deidre currently serves as Secretary for the Nassau County Brehons Law Society, an organization that seeks to protect and extend human rights. Deidre also serves on the Executive Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s Trusts & Estates Section. She has been selected multiple times to both the Best Lawyers and SuperLawyers honor lists. She is a regular contributor to the Nassau Lawyer and New York State Bar journals.
