This week’s “Senior Spotlight” focuses on Walter Orthmann, a 100-year-old man who recently received the world record for the longest tenure ever at a single company. Orthmann has worked at ReneauxView, a Brazilian textile firm with headquarters in Rio De Janeiro, for more than 84 years, having started when he was just 15 years old.
Orthmann began his career at RenaeuxView as a shipping assistant to help support his family as they struggled with financial problems. He quickly was promoted to a sales position and shortly after, Orthmann became a successful Sales Manager.
“When we do what we like, we don’t see the time go by,” Orthmann told Guiness World Records.
