We happily announce that Lisa R. Valente is now a partner at Makofsky Valente Law Group, P.C. Lisa is a long-time employee of the firm, having begun her employment in 1995 in a part-time position. Working her way up the firm’s chain of responsibility, Lisa’s ambition and success culminated with her cum laude graduation from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. Over the years, Lisa has ably assisted many of our clients with their most pressing legal problems, and she is passionate about providing personal and high quality legal service to our clients.
Lisa is no stranger to hard work and her practice includes Elder Law, Trusts and Estates, Probate and Estate administration and Guardianship matters.
Lisa prides herself on building outstanding client relationships, sharing legal education and supporting the community. Lisa was inducted into the 2020 New York Portuguese-American Women Hall of Fame and serves as a Board member of the New York Portuguese-American Leadership Conference. Lisa was also awarded the 2020 International Women’s Day award from Associação Girassol for her accomplishments as a strong Portuguese-American woman. She is an active member of the Nassau County Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association and its Elder Law and Special Needs, and Trusts and Estates Sections. Lisa is also a member of the Nassau County Women’s Bar Association and the Portuguese American Bar Association.
