Lifetime Achievement Award!

Kudos to Ellen G. Makofsky for receiving the prestigious 2017 Lifetime Achievement for Leadership in Law award. The award was presented to Ellen by Long Island Business News (“LIBN”) at the Cresthollow Country Club.
The publisher of LIBN, Scott Schoen, congratulated Ellen and other honorees in different categories by describing them as professionals who, “embody the qualities of experience, dedication, skill, tenacity and commitment to excellence”…[and who] “are also known for their compassion.” Mr. Schoen dedicated the Leadership in Law Awards “to those individuals whose leadership, both in the legal profession and in the community, has had a positive — and lasting — impact on our community.”
The selection of Ellen Makofsky for the prominent Lifetime Achievement award was based on her reputation as a knowledgeable and respected Elder Law and Trust and Estates attorney, her contributions to the legal profession, her tireless efforts on behalf of local, state and national Bar Associations, her numerous professional appointments and elected positions within the legal community and her support and efforts on behalf of local community organizations and charities.
